# Willow AI > Willow (also called Willow AI) is desktop software for mid-size companies. It runs on employees' Mac and Windows computers, learns how work really moves between people, teams and apps, and shows leadership where time is lost, priced in dollars. It can also do desk work as an AI coworker. Willow can run on the company's own infrastructure. Website: https://willowai.app Contact: info@willowai.app ## What Willow does - Observes work on the desk, with each person's consent: which app is in front, the window, and the order of steps. People can pause it at any time. - Learns the real routine behind a process (for example quote to cash), including steps nobody wrote down, loops back to earlier teams, and work done outside the company's systems. - Shows owners and leadership a few concrete findings with evidence: the slow way and the fast way of the same job, work that is stuck, and what the lost time is worth at a chosen hourly rate. - Turns the best way of working into a company rule with one click, so every agent and every employee follows it, and measures the time saved afterwards. - Acts as an AI coworker on each desk: researches in the browser, reads and writes documents, drafts in connected apps such as Gmail, Outlook, Slack and Salesforce, and runs scheduled tasks. Sending, paying, signing and deleting wait for a person's approval. ## Who it is for - Mid-size companies where real work still lives on desks, in inboxes and across several systems, not only in the handbook. - Typical fits: professional services, operators, field and construction businesses, sales and support teams, and companies that need AI on their own infrastructure for security reasons. ## Privacy and security - Observation is opt-in per person, visible, and can be paused. Banking, payroll, personal mail and password tools are skipped. - Screen images are read to understand the task and then deleted. Willow does not record video or keystrokes, and nobody gets a live view of a screen. - Leadership sees the pattern of the work, not a ranking of people. Employees get private tips for their own work. - Each company has its own isolated workspace. Staff computers do not hold AI model keys or app passwords. - Company data is not used to train AI models. Export and deletion are available on request. - Deployment options: fully on the customer's own infrastructure with their own AI model accounts, or a dedicated server operated by Willow in the US or EU. ## How a company starts 1. Install the Willow desktop app on a first group of employee computers (Mac or Windows). 2. Connect them to the company workspace. 3. Leadership opens the company dashboard. Start with a handful of people and two processes, then expand. ## Pages - [Home](https://willowai.app/): what Willow does, how it learns, privacy, download and FAQ - [How it works](https://willowai.app/#how): the learning loop from the desk to a company rule - [Privacy](https://willowai.app/#privacy): consent, pause, what is and is not captured - [Download](https://willowai.app/#download): Mac and Windows desktop app - [FAQ](https://willowai.app/#faq): who it is for, on-premises, what employees and leadership see - [Subprocessors](https://willowai.app/subprocessors/): providers that can process customer data on a dedicated Willow server, and which apply on the customer's own infrastructure - [Legal notice](https://willowai.app/imprint/): company details and contact
